Why choose Proggy and Tweed?

Proggy and Tweed Designs is owned and run by me, Kim MacGillivray. I design and make beautiful and unique accessories in soft, luxurious merino wool handmade felt silk and occasionally Harris Tweed. I also handknit heritage scarves and shawls in Shetland Lace. I can help you find a special gift, or that unique accessory to lift or refresh a favourite outfit, or dress up something plain and classic for an occasion, or something truly individual for everyday wear. I can design and make something just for you, incorporating your ideas and preferences. Friendly, personal attention is guaranteed, whether in person or online. Most Proggy and Tweed designs are made using wet felting with soft, merino wool and silk. I also love to mix knitted elements and Harris Tweed into the scarves, hats and garments I make. If it's wool then I love using it! Why not browse the Galleries to see some Proggy and Tweed designs?

Everything from Proggy and Tweed is handmade by me in my studio in Auchterarder in Perthshire, so you can be sure that everything is made with care, attention to detail and love. You are very welcome to visit me in my studio by appointment. Contact me to arrange a visit. *face coverings to be worn and social distancing observed *

Proggy and Tweed at Home offers a range of accessories and decorative items for your home, made using handcrafted felt and Harris Tweed in traditional techniques. Ideal if you are looking for a new home gift or wedding present that no-one else will have bought, from felted sheep fleece rugs and throws to little 4inch framed fibre art pictures, there is something for everyone.
